혓바닥 유두상 돌기가 검은 털 모양으로 변해 혓바닥 색이 검게 되는 것을 흑설이라고 한다.
대개, 원인은 확실히는 모른다.
장기간 경구용 항생제로 치료받을 때, 검은색 곰팡이가 설 상부(혓바닥)에 자라면 흑설이 생길 수 있다.
비스모스제로 치료할 때 흑설이 생길 수 있다.
쓰던 약을 중지하면 자연히 없어진다.
드물게는 혓바닥에 칸디다 알비칸스(C. albicans)곰팡이 감염으로 흑설이 생길 수 있다.

Black tongue (black tongue), Lingua nigra

• When the papillary process on the tongue turns black and the color of the tongue turns black, it is called the black tongue.

• Usually, the cause is unknown.

• When treated with oral antibiotics for a long time, black mold can develop on the upper tongue (tongue).

• Black snow may occur when treated with bithmus.

• If you stop taking the medicine, it will disappear naturally.

• Rarely, tongue candida albicans (C. albicans) fungal infection can cause black tongue.
